Penny Cemetery - Hillsboro, AL

Nice little cemetery where I first met the man from the Landfill who told me about the Lile Cemetery. His family is here and he was maintaining it. At the time I didn't have time or energy to do this cemetery so said to myself I'd sometime go back. I finally made it. Some of this back half of the cemetery is a black cemetery and quite a bit of it is long forgotten. I did not venture into the woods but you can see in a couple of the photos the remains of stones hidden by deep underbrush. I often wonder how it gets this bad, how people just forget about it.
